This Sunday, May 30th, get your groove on with Steve Owens & The Summertime Band as the 2021 Holden Beach Free Concert Series kicks off! Steve Owens and Summertime walked away from the 2012 Carolina Beach Music Awards as a winner of the “Favorite New Artist of the Year” category. The awards show was held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Sunday, November 11 and featured musical performances by several popular beach music bands including Steve Owens and Summertime.
2014 Cammy Nominations
– Steve Owens was nominated for Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year
-“Second Time Around” CD released by Steve Owens and Summertime in the Summer of 2014 is on the ballot for Group Album of the Year.
– “I just Want to Satisfy” a #1 song from Steve Owens and Summertime is nominated for Song of the Year as well as Smoothie of the Year.
– Jay Jenkins, Keith Houston, and Steve Owens are nominated for Producers of the Year for their work on Steve Owens and Summertime’s CD Second Time Around. Keith Houston was also nominated in the Engineer category for this project.
– Grant Leggett Production manager/FOH tech received a well deserved nomination in the Live Production category.
– Robin Woodard lead guitar player is on the ballot for the third year in a row for Instrumentalist of the Year
The Town of Holden Beach has a concert schedule lined up for the summer that will be as exciting as past years. While we are still uncertain about the ability to hold concerts and will rely on outside occupancy limits established by the State of NC at the time the season starts, we remain hopeful that we can provide this popular community event in a manner that adheres to safety protocols. The schedule will be adjusted based on Covid guidance. Please continue to visit our website and social media outlets for updates on the status of the concerts.
