Fifty six years ago the Summer of Love was born with the historic Woodstock Music and Arts Exposition on Max Yasgur’s farm near Bethel, NY.
Diane and Steve Sowder, of Ocean Isle Beach, are again honored to be hosting the 6th annual anniversary celebration of that historic weekend this year, SowderFest VI.
Over the years the festival has grown and now makes it’s debut in Ocean Isle’s beautiful Town Center Park as a benefit for Brunswick Family Assistance.
The family friendly festival is free to attend, however, donations are requested for Brunswick Family Assistance.
This celebration is an outdoor event (weather permitting) and will feature four artists covering music from the Woodstock festival as well as other music from that period and newer music influenced by those groundbreaking performances.
Free Event Parking is available in the lot across from the former town hall on West Third Street
Be sure to bring lawn chairs and wear your feisty/hippie outfits!
