Doesn’t a gathering to sample soups from local cooks sound like a great way to spend a coastal winter evening? We think so, and that’s why the Museum of Coastal Carolina will host its Second Annual SOUPer Saturday on Feb. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Museum of Coastal Carolina on nearby Ocean Isle Beach.
Held after regular Museum hours, this event will feature locally sourced soup samples from multiple home cooks and opportunities to vote for favorite custom culinary creations.
The winning cook will be declared “Potager Extraordinaire”, enjoying bragging rights and receiving a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant. Local cooks who would like to participate can call (910) 579-1031 for details or email [email protected].
Soup samples and light desserts will be included with $10 suggested donation for admission per person. Drinks, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase separately.
